
Dr Patrick yap
Paediatrician and Clinical Genetics
Dr Yap graduated from the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom. He trained in General Paediatrics in the United Kingdom and New Zealand and pursued further training, completing his fellowships in General Paediatrics (Auckland, New Zealand) and in Clinical Genetics (Melbourne, Australia) in Australasia. In General Paediatrics, Dr Yap has developed an interest in working with families in the management and diagnosis of neurobehavioural disorders, including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
He is fully ADOS and ADI-R trained. Dr Yap continues to pursue his interest in rare inheritable genetic disorders, especially in skeletal dysplasias. He was trained under world renowned skeletal dysplasia experts, Professors Ravi Savarirayan and Gen Nishimura. Dr Yap has research affiliations with the University of Auckland and Murdoch Children's Research Institute. He is a Doctoral Candidate in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Auckland.
